Raised in Northwest Indiana, Jeffery developed a love for cities at an early age from the frequent trips his family would take on the South Shore commuter train to Chicago. In 2015, he founded indyimby.com, a website focused on urbanity in central Indiana showcasing his love for development and Indianapolis. INDYIMBY is currently shifting its focus toward an advocacy organization helping to fight for increasing housing supply throughout Indiana. Jeffery later furthered his education at Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning, where he studied architecture, environmental design, urban planning and real estate development. At Ball State, he participated in a winning NAIOP proposal for redevelopment of the Broad Ripple High School campus in Indianapolis and was named a Shafer Fellow for Immersive Learning for his work with the Muncie, Indiana Action Plan.

Jeffery has consulted and served several municipalities, firms, and development organizations as an urban planner, designer, and architectural illustrator. He has worked as a real estate development consultant and has a wide array of experience with anchor institution strategic planning as a co-lead planner on the largest health district in the United States (Indy Health District in Indianapolis). His plans and urban visualizations have helped countless clients better envision their desired communities across the United States, including neighborhood plans in Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Houston, Cincinnati, Chicago, and others. He founded PRT Planning + Design LLC in 2020, helping to organize his several planning efforts under one name. By the end of 2021, Jeffery had joined the team at Meticulous Design + Architecture, a global architecture firm helping to create meaningful, purposeful, and impactful projects throughout the world.

Jeffery is frequently cited as a source for his planning knowledge and experience and has been interviewed by national and local press for city-based stories on multi-mobility, transit, and development. Jeffery has been featured in Urban Cincy, the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP), the Livable City podcast, the Indianapolis Star, the Indianapolis Business Journal, and was honored as one of the “200 Voices of Indianapolis” in Indianapolis Monthly. He is a member of ULI, CNU, APA, the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI), and the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP). He currently serves on the Young Professionals Board of the Indianapolis Cultural Trail.
